In the serene days it is possible to perceive the top of the Etna also from Patti, the most important active volcano in Europe.
It is reachable by the highway Messina-Catania in about one hour, or (as we suggest) crossing the magnificent Nebrodi Park.
Once arrived, it's possible to make guided excursions to observe the volcano's craters as near as possible, since some of them are still active or of recent formation.
